Windows XP Pro . . .

Postby Mandrake » Thu 20 Mar, 2003 8:40 pm

Someone may be able to help me out here... I've got a Pentium 2 400mhz with 128mb of ram, and I wanted to install XP Pro on it ... will this work at all? :) I'm getting another 128mb or 256mb of ram tommorow, so will this effect things at all?

Cheers,
Jarrad.

What do you mean? I can't see why this wouldn't work... The extra RAM will only help you with your already good computer.

He is worried about if additional memory will effect the Activation.
My experience is no need to worry. OR just wait one more day for safe sake.

Well, I've got a 350Mhz Pentium II with 448Mb RAM, and Windows XP runs just fine.
The activation process is a cinch, takes only a few moments and doesn't require any
personal data to be entered. Registering your personal info is totally optional.

(I know I'm entering with message with a Linux system, but the most regular
contributors to these forums will know that I've got at least 4 Windows
installations setup seperately on my PC, including Windows XP!)
