I do both of those a lot, and SMS text messaging as well. I usually use between 80 to 90 thousand SMS messages a month.

It's hands down the best phone I have ever owned.

80,000-90,000 messages a month? Am I reading that right or do you have robotic fingers? I'm lucky if I send 8 or 9 a month.

Yup, this month I'm low. Only using about 78 thousand.

That averages 2,600 to 3,000 SMS a day!?!

Which requires a pretty good plan for SMS.

Or was that the KB you use for SMS?

That's about 4 SMS messages a minute for 24 hours a day! I don't think that's possible.

I admit that it seems almost impossible but who can say. Man... you'd have to be texting almost continuously wouldn't you? If so, what a waste of your life. I'd rather be out there doing stuff.

Keep in mind a lot of those are incoming messages from sites like Facebook and Twitter.

And I have unlimited SMS/ pictures messaging, as well as unlimited data.

Took me a minute to work out why you were hitting 70k messages a month, then I forgot about the whole 'incoming' thing. May I ask why you have SMS alerts for FB/Twitter enabled when obviously the native apps on BB would do the same thing essentially?

I have an iPhone 4 (no reason to upgrade to the 4S at the moment) and a BlackBerry 9700 (on two separate carriers of course).. honestly do not see how people can still be hooked to BlackBerrys in 2012.. in AUS they are almost dead. I know of nobody else who has a BlackBerry- yet everyone can be contacted by iMessage (iPhone), or SMS for those on Android. ;)

Sorry for the crappy quality. It's 3AM and I'm in a lazy mood. My new phone, a Samsung Galaxy Nexus. It's awesome. An absolutely massive upgrade from my two year old HTC Desire mobile phone, which has served me well.

The best thing is that I'm now paying $20/month less than before. I was paying $79/month, now it's $49/month + $10 handset repayments.

The only sad thing is that my phone is sitting on my desk until my case arrives. I ordered the excellent Otterbox Defender case for the Galaxy Nexus. I had the Invisible Shield on my HTC Desire for about a year, but I didn't like it much it all. It started to come off, in the end I had it stuck to my phone with masking tape. :( I heard about the Otterbox cases on one of Leo Laporte's podcasts and haven't looked back. The quality is just amazing, and I'm a huge fan now.

So .. still enjoying it or?

I've been watching it go down in price in AUS all week .. if you are happy with a HK import. Cheapest right now would be ~$439..

Almost everybody has an iPhone (mostly 4 or 4S), even in local council's meeting I attended.

BlackBerry are still popular for those who TXT or email a lot, thanks to its keyboard I guess.

However, with an overseas import, you might have different settings (customised icons/layout for the foreign network).

I love it. The screen is absolutely amazing. 1280 x 720 on a phone is incredible. :) Ice Cream Sandwich is great too, and I love having Google Chrome available on my phone. For some reason I never liked Firefox for Android much, it's too clunky IMO.

The only downsides, IMO, are the battery life and the camera. Mediocre battery life effects most high end smartphone users, so I'm hardly only in that aspect. The Galaxy Nexus only has a 5MP camera, so it's not the best on the market, though it's camera is obviously a lot better than the one in the HTC Desire that I had previously.

I got myself a new mouse to replace my old Microsoft Habu from ~2007.

Razer Mamba 2012. Absolutely awesome mouse. The docking connector and the scroll wheel of the mouse actually glow and cycle through the entire colour spectrum. I'll try and get a video of it, as it's a really awesome effect.

As a mouse I find it very precise and accurate, although I haven't really tried it with many demanding games yet (... roll on the long weekend). :)

Nice, and nice packaging!

Congratulations, I am sure it cost more than Apple's Magic Mouse. I am still debating if I need to get another Magic Mouse, Antony is poor, you know.
