Hey guys, what's up? Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Been working full time, on top of summer classes for college. So I've been a little busy.

ANYWAY.

I got a few new gadgets.
I got a new keyboard, which is a Steelseries 6G V2 mechanical keyboard.
And I got two new 23" Hannspree monitors.

I'll post pictures later, I need to clean before I post anything which shows the state of my room.....

I now have Jellybean (Android 4.1.1) on my Galaxy Nexus. :) I'm loving it, the speed enhancements are amazing. I also like the enhanced notification centre and the new 'Google Now' feature.

another A3 printer:

(Please excuse the mess)

For those who are not familiar with A3 paper size, A3 is international standard measured 420mm by 297mm, roughly equal to Ledger or Tabloid paper size in Don's American standard.

Got myself another wireless router. Not that I don't have enough wireless router, but need another one to increase the wireless strength.

Image

Please note, it's a Refurbished AirPort Extreme base station (current model, 5th generation) from Apple. Antony is poor, he can't afford new routher

So here's my tally for wireless routers, all capable of 802.11n:
  • 1 x Time Capsule
    (2TB, 2nd generation)
  • 4 x AirPort Extreme Base Stations
(gigabit ethernet model, 2nd gen) (simultaneous dual band model, 3rd gen) (simultaneous dual band II model, 4th gen) (5th gen)
  • 1 x AirPort Express Base Station
    (802.11n (1st generation in 802.11n))

Well, I can't afford the most talk-about tablet of the year - Microsoft Surface, so I get myself the second best.

iPad with Retina Display (better known as iPad 4):

Only 64GB. But thanks to Telstra, I have LTE.

A "family photo" of my iOS devices acquired recently.

Image

iPhone 5 (64GB), iPod touch 5 (32GB), iPad mini (64GB, LTE), iPad 4 (64GB, LTE)

plus an iPad 3 (64GB, cellular) not pictured bought in March. That's all for 2012.

Cannot post a picture, but solved the laptop heat problem.

My laptops run 24/7, so heat is a definite consideration. I tried chill pads, but they quit due to dust and not enough power from USB.

I replaced all of them with small Hi Fi fans, 3" square, from Radio Shack. Almost silent. I have them "push", which means I direct the airflow toward the bottom of the laptop instead of away from it. They only come DC, so I had to buy adapters. Each set up was just under US$50.00. But, they work amazingly well. There is simply no hot spot on any of the four laptops I have equipped with the fans.

The laptops are elevated on RollerBall wheels, so about 1-1/2". or 38mm.

Of course, this is not possible for use on your lap, just on a desktop.

While it's not an iPhone, much to Antony's disliking, I find it better.
For Christmas I got myself a Motorola XT894 (aka Motorla DROID 4).

It features a beautiful 4" screen, 4G LTE connectivity, as well as an amazing keyboard.
Oh, and it has a dual core 1.2Ghz TI-OMAP processor, with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
Not to mention, an 8MP Camera capable of 1080P, 1.3MP front facing camera capable of recording in 720P and a downright amazing keyboard.

Comes pre-installed with the latest version of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwhich (4.0.4) with a scheduled update to Jellybean at some point in the near future.

Here's a picture , thanks to Amazon Wireless.

I'll take this over an iPhone any day! :P

P.S: It's Global ready, featuring both CDMA/LTE connectivity as well as GSM/UTMS.

It looks cool John.

I had an HTC Touch Pro2 with similar keypad to yours. Just that I don't text much and never like the phone size keyboard.
