telnet access to the World Wide Web

The WorldWideWeb (W3) is a wide area hypermedia information retrieval initiative aiming to give universal access to a large universe of documents.

To try out a simple terminal interface to W3, open a telnet connection to the host

   telnet.w3.org

with the username

   www

No password is required.
