Example of using anonymous ftp

To connect to the anonymous ftp server at the Univerity of Edinburgh and list the files in the login directory:

ftp> open ftp.ed.ac.uk
Connected to pcserver2.ed.ac.uk.
===========================================================
Welcome to the University of Edinburgh Anonymous FTP server
===========================================================
The following anonymous ftp servers are also available:
   ftp.ed.ac.uk	    	    University of Edinburgh (this server)
   emwac.ed.ac.uk           EMWAC Windows NT FTP server
   ftp.aiai.ed.ac.uk        Artificial Intelligence Applications Institute
   ftp.dcs.ed.ac.uk	    Department of Computer Science
   ftp.lfcs.ed.ac.uk        LFCS
   ftp.met.ed.ac.uk         Department of Meteorology
   ftp.ucs.ed.ac.uk	    Computing Services
   ftp.epcc.ed.ac.uk        Edinburgh Parallel Computing Centre

When requested for a username enter 'ftp' or 'anonymous'.
